In this website, Miller showcases her web design and nonprofit writing skills. On the site’s homepage, the first image is of a woman smiling and on the next line is a description of StrongMinds’ mission: to help depressed women in Africa. Miller illustrates her ability to communicate an organization’s impact visually. Miller utilizes her data visualization skills, conveying StrongMinds’ impact in 2019 through color-coded bar graphs and pie charts. Miller also conveys how Strong Minds improved the lives of several African women by telling individual stories. The stories in this report evoke the pain and devastation depression cause, tugging at the reader’s heartstrings. From these stories, the reader also sees the positive changes treatment has on the lives of those with depression. By including these stories, Miller engages the audience, inspiring new supporters to get involved in StrongMinds’ movement to help African women overcome depression.
